Writing - Taha Whanau (Tuesday (W9, T3)

 Te Whare Tapa Wha

Te Whare Tapa Wha is a concept we talk about a lot.

They are the 4 pillars of healthy living - Your physical (taha tinana), your mental (taha hinengaro), your spiritual (taha wairua), and your family/social (taha whanau) wellbeing.

Today we will be focusing on our Taha Whanau - Our Family & Friends.

Today you will be focusing on RECOUNT WRITING

Recount Writing

Write a recount of  a time when you felt supported by your whanau or friends, or you showed support to your whanau, or friends. These moments are the ones that help us realise just how important our Taha Whanau is to us.

Make sure you include…

  • What happened my papa died

  • How you felt sad and then happy

  • Who was there my aunty

  • Why it was special because i got to see him for the last time

Remember for recount writing:

  • The 5 W’s and cousin H (who, what, when, where, why, and how)

  • Narrative structure (beginning -> middle -> end)

My Writing Style is i don't no

Begin your writing here: On the 18th of jan my papa died and because i don’t have a car we ask my uncle and he said it wasn’t imported which was sad  know one wanted to take us in tell my aunty called us and she said she well take us and i felt happy that she that because it was nice and i go to see my papa for the last time
